Heading is looking for his client in Energy industry, a Electrical or Mechanical Engineer (M/F) for Tete
Activities:
- Provide electrical and/or mechanical engineering support to the company site team.
- Support the Site Manager in the technical coordination of ongoing site activities.
- Coordinate technical matters between the site team in Songo and the engineering teams in Europe.
- Support inspection and assessment of existing equipment and installations.
- Assist in clarifying technical issues identified during site activities.
- Support installation, rehabilitation, testing and commissioning activities.
- Review drawings, specifications and other technical documentation relevant to the works.
- Follow up technical interfaces between existing plant equipment and new or rehabilitated equipment.
- Support preparation of technical documentation, reports and site records.
- Participating in technical coordination with the Employer and other project stakeholders where required.
- Support compliance with applicable technical, quality and safety requirements.
- Current project activities in Songo include preparation for on-site machining, assessment of existing components, installation planning, material handling and preparation for the upcoming rehabilitation and installation works.
Required Experience and Education:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Valid registration with the Ordem dos Engenheiros de Moçambique (OrdEM) and/or registration with the Direcção Nacional de Energia (DNE) as Técnico Responsável.
- Relevant professional engineering experience.
- Ability to understand and work with engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in an international engineering environment.
- Good command of Portuguese and working knowledge of English.
- Willingness to work predominantly at the project site in Songo, Tete Province.

- Hydropower plants or other power-generation facilities.
- Hydro turbines, generators and large electrical machines.
- Electrical power and auxiliary systems.
- Protection, control, instrumentation and automation.
- Industrial mechanical equipment and rotating equipment.
- Pumps, valves, hydraulic systems and bearings.
- Industrial maintenance, reliability and equipment inspection.
- Installation and commissioning in heavy industrial or energy projects.
