-Tasks and Responsibilities
-Oversee the daily operations of a network operations center (NOC), ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
-Develop key dashboards for transparency of reporting uptime and other metrics as identified.
-Implement processes for monitoring/alerting, systems maintenance and change control, and for automation opportunities.
-Keep abreast of new technologies and trends in the networking industry.
-Ensure that up-to-date technical documentation exists for all services provided to our teams and take ownership for reporting.
-Responsible for overseeing all administrative tasks, such as employee reviews, time sheets, expenses, etc.
-Monitor network activity and performance, using tools such as OWS, AffectLI IOE, packet sniffers, traffic analyzers, CMS, etc.
-Human development by ensuring training and mentoring of junior staff members on proper NOC procedures and protocols.
-Escalate critical issues to senior management as necessary.
-Respond to alerts in a timely manner, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
-Education and Profissional Experience Requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a strictly related field.
-ITIL certifications (v3 or v4) covering Service Operations, Change Management, or Incident Management are highly preferred.
-Minimum of 5 to 8 years of proven experience within a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
-At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a formal leadership or supervisory role, managing technical teams and driving SLA compliance.

-Excellent oral communication skills, writing and presentation skills.
-Very good and important decision-making ability that affects the company's operations when handling challenges or technical decisions.
-Very good organization management with the ability to plan and execute tasks in a logical order; resource and time management must be very effective and able to delegate.
-Be familiar with basic concepts of risk management, progress management, scope management, and stakeholders.
-Must have experience in managing a NOC team, as well as strong technical knowledge of networking and system administration.
-Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Cacti, etc.).
-In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and routing.
-Experience with network security tools and protocols.
