-TX MW Engineer
-Responsibilities
-Troubleshooting local and long-haul circuits both in internal resources and the 3rd party vendor in resolving the issues;
-Network analysis and creation of network resilience/redundancy management;
-Carrying out both critical and normal network changes and support migration and expansion services;
-Network maintenance, repairing, and upgrading tasks needed in limiting the impact on the user’s experiences;
-Isolate and identify POF (Points of Failure) for hub sites and work with field resources towards its optimization and restorations;
-Weekly, Monthly Network Utilization Reports;
-Daily Routine maintenance task, such as license checks and service distributions;
-Daily incident handling and Investigation of network faults;
-Reporting network status to key stakeholders and ability to take informed decisions.
-Required Education and Professional Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related Information and Communications Technology (ICT) field;
-Technical certifications from major telecom manufacturers in transmission and microwave equipment will be considered a strong advantage;
-Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience within the telecommunications transmission engineering sector;
-Solid and hands-on experience in the independent operation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hybrid or native microwave and optical fiber networks within telecom operators or vendor environments.
-Skills and Competencies
-Good knowledge of project design and planning;
-Good understanding, configuration, and troubleshooting skills on transmission protection mechanisms, like SNCP, MSP, ASON, etc;-Good Configuration management and Service provisioning;
-Routine network analysis, including MW links analysis, resolution, and tracking; Packet loss and IUB tracking;
-Ability to manage BB (Broadband) / Access MW links in the region and provide Operational support;
-Understanding of standard Change management process and its violations;
-Good understanding of SLA analysis, network performance analysis, optical network health assurance, and OTN resource analysis, with the capability of independently performing related operations;
-Understanding of DCN interconnection with equipment of other manufacturers in the case of a hybrid network;
-Good command of microwave network planning solutions (link, networking, clock, QoS, and DCN), and methods of planning microwave services (TDM/Hybrid/Packet) on an entire network;
-Good command of the methods and risks for upgrading IDUs and ODUs;
-Advantage: Capability to manage DWDM low-level configurations and operational support will also be an added advantage.
