Heading is looking for his client in oil and gas industry, a Community Liaison Officer (M/F) for Cabo Delgado




-Community Liaison Officer

-Activities

-Build and maintain strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect;

-Present Project update to the community, vis-a-vi present community concerns and grievances to the company;

-Ensure that issues are resolved promply, fairly and consistently;

-On the one hand facilitating project operations and social management programs through engagement with the communities;

-Regular engagement with community stakeholders, including local civil society organizations, households, and vulnerable groups, with the aim of building the trust and respect of the community;

-Stakeholder Mapping: understanding and mapping various community stakeholders and their needs, interests, concerns and levels of influence in a way that can used for project decision making;

-Identify opportunities from feedback and determine actions, revisit goals, and plan next steps for follow- up and future engagement.

-Capture engagement activities carried out and submit daily reports to the line manager about the situation in community

-Qualifications/Experience required

-The position requires a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field with skill in local languages of Cabo Delgado.

-Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field;

-Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in community engagement, social performance, stakeholder relations, or community liaison roles, preferably within large-scale infrastructure, energy, mining, or resettlement projects;

-Demonstrated experience working directly with rural communities and project-affected households;

-Proven experience managing or supporting a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) and resolving community complaints in a fair and timely manner;

-Experience conducting stakeholder mapping and social risk assessments;

-Experience preparing daily, weekly, and monthly social monitoring reports;

-Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills;

-Experience engaging with local authorities, civil society organizations, and vulnerable groups;
