-Activities
-Design, execute, and regularly update the organization’s CSO &.
-Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with CSOs, NGOs, CBOs, and other relevant stakeholders at local,
-national, and international levels.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for civil society engagement, facilitating open, inclusive, and respectful dialogue.
-Organize and facilitate bilateral meetings, roundtables, field visits, and thematic workshops with CSOs/NGOs.
-Coordinate the development and distribution of engagement materials (e.g., bulletins, reports, Q&A documents).
-Represent the organization in external meetings, forums, and policy dialogues.
-Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive register and mapping database of relevant CSOs/NGOs, including their focus
-areas, activities, and positions on key issues.
-Monitor CSO/NGO activities, positions, and concerns through direct engagement, media, and social media monitoring.
-Prepare at least quarterly, insightful reports on engagement activities, trends, risks, and opportunities.
-Identify and mitigate societal and reputational risks through proactive engagement and collaboration with internal teams.
-Ensure all engagement activities comply with national regulations, international standards (e.g., IFC, Equator Principles), and
-company policies.
-Support the Social Performance and Stakeholder Engagement teams in achieving broader organizational objectives.
-Ensure all engagement activities are well-documented, traceable, and accessible for internal and external use.
-Share learnings, best practices, and challenges to foster continuous improvement.
-Qualifications/Experience required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social sciences, Public Policy, International Relations, Community Development, or a related
-field.
-Minimum 5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, social performance, or community development, preferably in the
-extractives, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
-Demonstrated experience working with CSOs, NGOs, and CBOs in complex, multicultural environments.
-Familiarity with international standards and frameworks (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, World Bank, ESG).
-Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
-Proven ability to manage sensitive issues and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
-Fluency in English and Portuguese; knowledge of local language is an advantage.
