Heading is recruiting for its client, a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Reporting Lead (M/F) to be based in Maputo .
About the role
- We are seeking a seasoned M&E and Reporting Lead to design and run our socioeconomic monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems. You’ll ensure that data is captured, validated, analysed, and translated into clear insights for decision-making—while coaching a small team and coordinated.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the Socioeconomic M&E Framework, KPIs, and data flows, aligned with company policies and lenders’ standards.
- Own data quality oversees collection, verification, storage, and accessibility
- Analyse and visualize turn quantitative/qualitative data into dashboards, insights, and adaptive management actions
- Report with rigor deliver timely internal and external reports
- Steward indicators coordinate socioeconomic performance tracking and alignment
- Lead the team onboard, coach, and mentor M&E and reporting technicians; build skills and standards.
- Stakeholder interfaces collaborate to surface key community issues and mitigation.
- Risk and change control to identify risks, propose mitigations, and coordinate Management of Change for SeM plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s in social sciences, Public Policy, International Development, Economics, Statistics, or related.
- 10+ years broad experience in M&E/social research, including framework design, data management, and reporting—ideally in leadership roles.
- Proficiency in Excel and SPSS; strong skills in Power BI (or similar) for dashboards and data storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; team-first mindset.
- Advantage: broad socioeconomic domain knowledge and experience with tools like Isometrix.
- Organized, adaptable, and comfortable working across functions and priorities.
