Heading is recruiting for its client, an oil and gas company, a Terrestrial Biodiversity Analyst (M/F) to be based in Maputo
Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting management, set-up and fine tuning of biodiversity action plan that includes the offset program.
- Maintaining schedules and track deliverables related to Biodiversity management, particularly the offset program.
- Assisting with planning and mobilization of biodiversity related surveys and actions.
- Supporting development, review and implementation of Biodiversity Management Plans and Procedures.
- Developing accurate and timely information for regular update of Project Website on Biodiversity matters.
- Keeping abreast of technical information, ideas and legislation in relation to biodiversity and natural environmental management.
- Promote Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Policy and actions Participates in development and implementation of Government of Mozambique, Lenders’ and Company compliant Biodiversity related documents.
Requirements:
- Minimum graduate or post-graduate degree in Agronomy, Natural Sciences, Ecology, Biology, Biodiversity or any related subjects. Specialist of Agronomy and/or Wetland ecosystems
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience required
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to work demands
- Ability to work in fast paced environments with autonomy
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders
- Ability to develop a network with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-cultural situations and with cross-discipline professionals (construction project).
- Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory. Proficient working knowledge of French is a benefit.
