Heading is recruiting for its client, a Driver (M/F) to be based in Maputo .
Main Responsabilities :
- The primary duty of the driver is transportation of passengers or/and goods and assist with requests from expats and families, safely and in efficient manner.
- To provide safe and efficient transportation services and to always drive with caution to avoid any potential accident or an incident.
- Always provide a high level of customer service that is courteous, helpful, friendly and efficient
- Always provide concise and effective communication, to ensure the correct messages has been conveyed
- Adherence to standards, guidelines, legislation and procedures set to ensure the safety and well-being to all passengers.
- Maintaining a safe environment for passengers.
- Run all scheduled transfers safely and in time
- Ensure the mechanical condition and hygiene of the vehicle.
- Check the condition of the vehicle daily before starting its activities;
- Keep the Coordinator informed after each transfer;
- Ensure internal and external cleaning of the vehicle;
- Report to the coordinator any anomaly detected during driving;
- Guarantee the supply of vehicles, within the established norms and procedures;
- Securely transfer customers;
- Fill out the daily runs transferred in the log sheet driver (destination, mileage, departure time, arrival, etc.);
- Care for the safety and security of the car;
- Providing assistance in loading and unloading materials, forwarding them to the intended place;
- Inform yourself about the itinerary in advance and drive the vehicle on trips inside and outside the national territory;
- Use the communication radio to transmit to the coordinator information about your daily activities, when applicable;
- Carry out procedures according to the necessary communications in case of an accident, not removing the vehicle from the place, and immediately placing the triangles if there is safety;
- Perform other tasks compatible with the requirements for the exercise of the function;
- Keep up to date with traffic regulations and legislation;
- Actively participates in training related to their role.
- Always maintain confidentiality on operation business affairs.
- Liaise with Services Quality Control Coordinator and HSE Department to ensure agreed upon HSE best practices are complied with;
- Attend toolbox talks and discuss HSE topics
Skills and personal qualities:
- Good driving skills including confidence and car control, always avoid distractions, be able to anticipate hazards.
- Able to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Knowledge of sites in town
- Experience, 4 to 5 years
- Experience assisting families including children
- VIP transport operations experience
- Professionalism good presentation and posture
- Communication skills
