Heading is recruiting for its client, an oil and gas company, a Contract Engineer (M/F) to be based in Maputo.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the DUET to create the contracts dossier, develop a clear definition of contractual responsibilities and discuss the agenda.
- Liaise with C and P Methods/planning/market and C and P Manager for reporting and statistics matters
- Keep informed of best practices in contracts procedures for improvement of contracts practices.
- The job holder executes the following contracts activities.
- Prepare and maintain an up-to-date list of qualified contractors/suppliers/potential tenders/contracts with updated information to perform market studies.
- Analyse and assess all possible answers from the market.
- Participate to the validation of the contract’s strategy.
- Conduct the Terms and Conditions bid analysis and negotiation.
- Conduct the commercial bid analysis and negotiation thereby creating a clear definition of responsibilities and documents together with the DUET.
- Participate in recommendations to award through contracts Committees or DOA award validation and tracing of tender documents.
- Input all contracts/suppliers’ data/documents in the contracts and supplier’s database Monitor on- with the Duet.
- Be in constant alignment with H3SE company rules, Procedures, Instructions, and applicable legislation.
- Take the necessary measures to avert immediate threat of danger. Exercising caution as necessary to avoid danger to persons and installations.
Accountabilities:
- To manage procurement processes delivering best quality in time and at the optimal cost .
- To participate in the improvement of procurement practices
- To successfully prepare, negotiate and administer a broad range of complex, technical and high value/risk purchases.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate level in Purchasing Technical Competencies required.
- C&P tools advanced certification required.
- Good command of English language
- Professional experience: 6-7 years (Minimum 2 years in technical contracts domain) with exposure on operations
- Personal Abilities: Advanced Management, Advanced Human Relations, Problem Solving and Planning / organizing / coordinating / controlling, general knowledge and understanding of commercial, legal and insurance issues affecting the company in general. Customer-oriented, intermediate negotiation skills.
- Good communication, organizational skills, capabilities to take workload & work under pressure, able to work in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
